Description

My scientific career started in the year 1993, since when I have been employed in the Institute of Physics (Division of Radioisotopes) at Silesian University of Technology (SUT) in Gliwice. Between 1995 and 1999 I undertook my doctoral study in SUT, receiving in 1999 degree of Doctor of Sciences in Physics. In 2000 I received a position of Associated Professor at the Institute of Physics in SUT. In 2001, I received a Post-doctoral Fellowship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology of the Empire of Japan (Monbukagakushō Scholarship), which allowed to me to realize of project "AMS in environmental science". In 2003 I have received a scholarship to start doctoral study at the University of Nagoya (Graduate School of Environmental Studies), which was completed in 2006, leading to the degree of doctor of Earth Sciences. During the last year of study at Nagoya University, I received a proposal to take part in the project, AARCH (Archaeomagnetic Applications for the Rescue of Cultural Heritage), which was funded from the resources of the European Union, within the 6th Framework program, carried out at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in Spain. In 2006, after this Project finished, I came back to Poland and started work in the Institute of Physics of SUT in Gliwice. In this same year I was invited to participate for 2-weeks training in the Laboratory for Archaeo- and Paleomagnetism in Gams, which is a part of the University of Leoban in Austria. The following year, I received a University of Valladolid grant, within the program “Ayudas para la estancia de investigadores extranjeros en la Universidad de Valladolid”, with a main goal to prepare a chemical line for sample preparation for radiocarbon method at the LIBRA laboratory. In the year 2009 I received a post-doctoral scholarship at the San Diego State University. From September 2010 until August 2016 I have been working in Leibniz Labor in University of Kiel (Germany).
